Adding and Editing Gradebook Categories

Categories and grading periods help you organize and weight scoring for different types of assignments and assessments (e.g. homework, quizzes, tests, etc.). Categories may be created here in manage class or from your gradebook settings in your sections. Your sections should use the same categories and grading periods if you want to assign assessment and assignments to them at the same time instead of individually.

Where To Go

To add or edit gradebook categories such as Extra Credit, Homework, Quizes, Exams, etc. you will log in to your site and click on the class tile. Click Gradebook.

What To Do

  1. Click Edit Categories.
  2. You can edit any existing categories or click on Create New Category to add a new category.
  3. Enter a new Category Name in the field that displays.
  4. Click Save.
